In September 2015, we were honored to serve as an Artists-in-Residence at the Civita Institute in the Italian hill town of Civita di Bagnoregio. This was a unique experience, not just because of the beautiful surroundings, but also because of the opportunity to focus on one tiny town for an extended time period. We were able to work on a number of projects, including this one which simply captured the doorways of Civita.

Some of the doors are "new." Many of these doorways were constructed in the late Medieval/early Renaissance periods. Each has a unique quality and reflects the artistic taste of the builder and/or, perhaps the function of the doorway.

What a fascinating gallery of photos! I really enjoyed it. All photos, of doors old and new, were well done. Good work!
