We passed this "pirate ship" as we entered the waters of the British Virgin Islands.br/br/A sad note: I have been taking photographs since high school and this will likely be the most expensive photo I will have ever taken. As I was taking this photo, a crew member, without warning, fired off a cannon only a couple of yards away from me (I could not see what was about to happen). I was immediately deafened to a large extent and have not recovered. I am presently going through a series of audiological procedures as attempts are made to restore as much as possible.br/br/Update - January 17, 2015: Four years ago today I was deafened on the Arabella. While I have "adjusted" to my circumstance, my pre-injury hearing never returned. The lesson I learned is once aboard the Arabella, the traveler is on a unique confined space... I no longer board smallish boats for longish cruises.
