Blasket Island - House
Accessible only by a small open boat (not for cars) Blasket Island is off the tip of the Dingle Peninsula. It was abandoned in the 1950's when the Irish government determined the inhabitants were at continual risk owning to their isolation for long periods, especially during the winter months. Some of the remaining structures of the island's small community are maintained by family of those who had settled here.
