Weather-wise, it was not a good day. Heavy rain all morning ... only slowly tapering off in the afternoon. I finally went out for a walk after 4:00 p.m.

As we finished dinner, we noticed a break in the clouds far to the west over the ocean. So, we jumped into the car and drove off to a small public beach at the very west end of the road. Got a great view before it all sunk into cloudy darkness...
