On our final day of this visit to Clifden, we learned the Clifden Boat Club had produced a booklet in 2015 showing my Great Grandfather in his sailboat (around 1907). So we headed to the CBC to buy a few copies. There is a small pub located at the club headquarters and the owner of the pub pointed to a few chaps and said, "those guys run the club - you may want to talk with them" And, "talk with them" we did. A great evening of conferring on local history and our respective sailing adventures!
