My father and grandfather owned/operated a commercial winery located in southwestern Michigan from about 1947 through the mid-1960's. The property is now the Vineyard Lofts, an artfully done condo development.

To their credit, the current owners had a great vision on how to repurpose the site, converting old fermentation tanks into living space, old underground tanks into storage areas and even using the original light fixtures for outdoor lighting. I spent my childhood here roaming through the maze of hoses and equipment. It was great to see it on a recent visit. It lives on as a comfortable and artfully done living space.
