I set out to capture the full moon rising next to Mt. Hood. Mt. Hood (and the Cascade range) was shrouded by a heavy cloud cover (what a shock!). Nevertheless, a photo capture was possible once the moon got above the clouds.br/br/This photo was captured along on the north bank of the Columbia River at Vancouver, Washington looking east. The lights to the right of the image are those of the Portland, OR airport (PDX). For April in the Pacific Northwest - a most excellent evening.
