Sun up is only minutes away on the edges of Palm Canyon near Palms Springs, CA. The photo was captured from the South Lykken Trail which quickly ascends from the desert floor up a sharp ridge dividing Palm Canyon and Tahquitz Canyon. Timing for this photograph required heading up the steep trail in the dark ... with a "headlamp" and a flashlight.br/ br/Production note: This panographic image is a "photomerge" of four separate photographs captured in rapid succession from a tripod mounted camera.
