We're in Palm Springs, California. This week is "Modernism Week," a celebration of the design and architecture of the 1950's and 1960's when this town was at its peak. One of the events was a car show of "mid-century" automobiles...br/br/br/br/I am old enough to remember most of the vehicles shown when they were new (good grief!). This photograph shows the hood ornament of a popular American car from the late 1940's/early 1950's. My mother had one of these. Hers was a red convertible. I remember the ornament's "face" lit up at night.br/br/br/br/Can you name the type of automobile?
