On occasion, I enter photo images into the DP Review "Challenges." See http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/. I do not do this often as it is a always a humbling experience (in a positive/hopeful way). This week's image is one I entered earlier this year when the challenge was to submit an image addressing "education." For me, the image evoked our educational system, one which once worked well, but has become dilapidated over time.

The image is of a hulk of a one room school house barely standing on Washington's central high plateau. I passed it one morning last June on my way to hike a somewhat remote area called Steamboat Rock.
