Ted Forbes is a fellow running a YouTube channel on photography. One of his projects is to “challenge” viewers with “photo assignments.” The current photo assignment is to compose a photo with “negative space,” a photo where the main subject of the photo is emphasized by relative non-content in the rest of the photo.

This photo was captured at the beach on the Oregon coast near our beach house. Of interest is there was no color correction in processing this photo. The subdued morning light produced what appears to be a monotone image.
