Heading south about fifteen miles from the Columbia River at Hood River, we returned to the tiny "town" of Parkdale, Oregon. The two block long street has a small collection of "antique" shops and a small independent micro-brewpub. The brewpub is well known for its chili and cornbread. The locally-made beer is OK. But, the real fans know to order up and immediately walk through the pub to the back yard. There, in the untamed grass, is a couple of picnic tables with a few extra lawn chairs for "viewing." This image shows the view. We got there on a spectacular day.
