Lincoln Memorial Column
This is the view from the base of one of the columns at the front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. By the time I had walked there (after coffee, a Metro ride and a stroll along the reflection pond), this national monument was packed with sightseers. Everywhere I pointed the camera the image was full of meandering people. How dare they clutter my peopleless imaging! Then... I looked up...
