On a recent trip to Vancouver Island in British Columbia we drove through Pacific Rim National Park (Canada). The season's first major storm blew through with heavy squalls punctuated by moments of no rainfall. In one of those moments we stopped at a location called Long Beach. Even with the gloom of the next pending squall quickly coming in, it was a beautiful spot on the Pacific Northwest coastline.
