Painted Hills
The Painted Hills is a point of interest within the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. Located in central Oregon's high desert, the site is "remote" by today's standards. But, it is well worth the visit.
The light was challenging - gray skies with diffused illumination. Nevertheless, the colors of this unique area stood out.
