Saint Féichín (died 665), also known as Mo-Ecca, was a 7th-century Irish saint, chiefly remembered as the founder of the monastery at Fore (Fobar), County Westmeath. Folklore states that Féichín had supernatural powers and healing abilities hence why holy wells were dedicated to him throughout Ireland. The island of Omey remains a place of devotion to Saint Féchín to this day.
