Captured on a near perfect day in mid-December, this photo shows the beach between Cape Kiwanda (from which the photo was taken) looking north to Cape Lookout (on the horizon - in the fog). We are fortunate to have a house along this stretch of the beach (too far away to see in this photo) where we spend much our time. Not all days are as pleasant as this one, however. Only a couple of days ago we hunkered down and watched as successive sheets of horizontal rain were carried by gale force winds...
